Cows Mysteriously Shot Dead On Castro Valley Ranch
CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) -- Three cows on a Castro Valley ranch were reportedly shot dead over the weekend by unknown assailants, according to a published report.
Bay Area News Group reported a rancher found the three cows shot dead Saturday morning on his property along Eden Canyon Road, along with another calf missing.
The report said the rancher told deputies that he had heard gunshots sometime late Friday or early Saturday.
Sgt. Ray Kelly told Bay Area News Group one of the cows had its ear severed off, removing an ID number.
