Couple's Tahoe Spring Wedding Turns White With Snow

LAKE TAHOE (KPIX 5) -- A young couple who planned their Tahoe wedding for May had an unexpected guest. Snow!

A late Sierra storm turned the Roticci's spring nuptials into a white wedding, literally.

"We thought the weekend before Memorial Day would be beautiful and sunny," said Blake Roticci, the bride.

Groom Tommy Roticci admits he was "stressed out," but the outdoor wedding went off without a hitch. Guests had outdoor heaters and blankets to stay warm, and a tent was set up at the last minute. "It worked out well for us," he said.

The couple considers the confetti-like snow a celebration of their new state of matrimony.

"If rain is good luck on your wedding day, then snow must be really good luck," said Blake. "Especially if it's unexpected."
