Cost Of Golden Gate Transit Bus, Ferry Goes Up

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Fares to cross the Golden Gate from Marin and Sonoma Counties to San Francisco and back have gone up as of Tuesday.

Regional fares increased five percent on July 1st as part of a five-year fee increase. Marin local bus fares did not go up, but the adult cash fare for longer trips have increased from .25 to .50 (.20 to .40 for people using a clipper card).

Ferry fares from Larkspur and Sausalito have increased .50 for cash paying riders and .25 for clipper card users.
