Concord Man Hospitalized Following Motorcycle Crash Near Sausalito

SAUSALITO (CBS SF) -- A Concord man suffered moderate injuries when he crashed his motorcycle on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Sausalito Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Kevin Milliken, 54, was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson Road Glide when traffic slowed ahead of him north of the Golden Gate Bridge around 6:45 a.m., CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said.

Milliken lost control of the motorcycle when he applied the brakes and it slid across the two left lanes and came to rest in the No. 3 lane, Barclay said.

Milliken suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.  The crash backed up traffic to Mill Valley during the morning commute, Barclay said.
