Coast Guard Releases Video Of Massive Marijuana Bust Off California Coast

ALAMEDA (CBS SF) -- New video released by the U.S. Coast Guard shows the largest-ever marijuana bust off the California coast after four defendants in the case were sentenced Tuesday.

More than 11,600 pounds of marijuana was seized in the bust 115 miles southwest of Ensenada, Mexico.

Coast Guardsmen from cutters Stratton from Alameda, and Petrel from San Diego intercepted two smuggling boats.

An aircrew from the Coast Guard station in Sacramento located the vessels, and directed the Coast Guard cutters to them.
