SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A Coast Guard helicopter that was conducting hovering training at San Francisco International Airport crash landed Monday.

An airport spokesman says the helicopter made a "hard landing" at the Coast Guard base at the airport around 3:00 p.m. The crash sheared off the helicopter's rotor blades as it ended up tipping onto its side.

All crewmembers walked away from the landing, spokesman Doug Yakel said, adding he received reports that one suffered a minor injury and was receiving medical care.

The base is on the the opposite side of the airport away from the terminal and passengers.

The incident was not affecting commercial operations at the airport.
