Claudia Wells, The Original 'Jennifer' From 'Back To The Future' Appears At Wondercon 2014

ANAHEIM, CA (CBS SF) - You may not recognize Claudia Wells now, but back in 1985, she caused a stir as Michael J. Fox's on-screen girlfriend Jennifer Parker in the first Back To The Future film.

Wells' had to step back from continuing the role when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Wells was replaced by NCIS actress Elisabeth Shue.

But Back To The Future fans never did forget the original Jennifer as they paid her a visit at her autograph booth at Wondercon 2014 in Anaheim.

Wells graciously took some time from her busy schedule to talk to Warrior's "Hype Man" and CBS Local's Franco Finn, about the role she holds dear to her heart

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Wells' family moved to the Bay Area when she was 7 weeks old. Wells grew up in San Francisco and went to school at Marin Country Day School & French Bilingual school and currently has family in the area.

Today, she owns a men's boutique in Studio City called "Armani Wells" where she sells high-end clothing at an affordable price. Wells carry the current styles from casual to formal and she actually tends the store when she is not traveling or making appearances.

Wells is also very active with her charity, Kids In The Spotlight a ten-week entertainment industry program for foster children. They teach children how to act, write scripts and filmmaking. Each year, Kids In The Spotlight puts together a "Oscar" type event for the work the children has done.

Claudia plans to return to acting soon. But in the immediate future she is making plans to visit family here in the Bay Area.
