East Bay Water District Giving Away Free Recycled Water

DUBLIN (CBS SF) -- Need water?

In the East Bay they're giving away recycled water to anyone who shows up with a bucket.

Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) opened the Residential Recycled Water Fill Station last summer.

Bay Area residents can use the recycled water to irrigate their yards, water trees and gardens, and wash outdoor furniture, windows and paths.

The program is free to any Californian.

People have shown up with everything from 5-gallon pails to flatbed pickups with 300-gallon carboys.

Go to the DSRSD website for hours, location and more information.
