CHP Officer, Good Samaritan Rescue Dogs Running Through Traffic On Highway 4

DISCOVERY BAY (CBS SF) – Two dogs running through traffic on Highway 4, near Discovery Bay were rescued Monday morning, and authorities are trying to find their owners.

A California Highway Patrol officer, along with a Good Samaritan were able to round up the dogs and take them to safety.

From the looks of the photos, the pups enjoyed riding in the CHP patrol car. They even posed for selfies with the CHP officer.

Now, CHP has released their pictures in hopes the owners will come and take them home.

The dogs are Staffordshire Terriers, one male, and one female, and the CHP says they are very friendly.

Both have been turned over to Contra Costa County Animal Control. The 24-hour emergency number is 925-335-8300.
