Child Porn Charges For Former Chair Of Disbanded Contra Costa County Health Care District

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- The former chairman of a disbanded Contra Costa County health care district has been arrested on suspicion of possession of child porn, Concord police said Thursday.

Jeffrey Kasper, 52, was arrested on May 7 after a search of his Concord home located evidence including pornographic videos of children, according to police.

Police began an investigation in March after detectives learned that illegal child pornography videos had been downloaded to the Anita Court home.

Kasper, who served as chairman of the Mt. Diablo Health Care District board before it was disbanded in August 2012, was arrested on suspicion of possession of harmful or obscene matter depicting minors in sexual acts. He was released after he posted $20,000 bail.

Kasper, who runs a customer service training, measurement and consulting firm, has also served as chairman of the board for the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and does voice-over work and performs as a master of ceremonies at various events, according to a web site advertising his services.

Anyone with additional information on this case is asked to call Detective Krista Sansen at (925) 603-5876, or the anonymous tip line at (925) 603-5836.
