Caught On Video: Deer Slams Into Cyclist Riding Near Golden Gate Bridge

SAUSALITO (CBS SF) -- A Bay Area bicyclist said he is ok after a deer slammed into him during a ride near the Golden Gate Bridge over the weekend, in a crash caught on video.

Silas Patlove was riding along Alexander Avenue near Sausalito when a deer jumped over the guardrail, right into his path on Sunday.

Patlove uploaded video of the crash to YouTube. In a statement accompanying the video, Patlove said he landed on his back, suffered a mild concussion and memory loss around the time of the crash. He also credited wearing a helmet for saving him from serious brain injury.

Since it was uploaded, the video had more than 105,000 views as of late Tuesday night.

It is unclear what happened to the deer after the crash.
