Caught On Camera: Bold Pickpocket Sneaks $3K From Walnut Creek Diner's Purse

WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) -- A bold pickpocket was caught on surveillance video sneaking a wallet from an unsuspecting diner's purse in a Walnut Creek restaurant Monday.

The female suspect can be seen mulling around on the video before seating herself next to the victim's table and rifling through her purse while she ate at the Tender Green's restaurant.

After emptying the wallet, the suspect returned it to the victim's purse before going on a $3,000 shopping spree, according to Walnut Creek Police.

Police also released this surveillance video of the suspect seen exiting a Target store after purchasing over $1000 worth of merchandise on the stolen credit card. This is just one of the stores she hit.
