Cat Lovers To Gather For Funny Video Fest In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Thousands of cat lovers will gather in Oakland Saturday to enjoy funny cat videos.

The second annual OakCatVidFest will feature internet videos featuring cats, projected on a 100' screen.

The festival isn't just for laughs, as kittens will be on hand for adoption and fostering.

Last year's festival drew over 6,000 fans, and resulted in $15,000 in donations for the East Bay SPCA and other rescue groups.

Organizers hope to sign up 100 new kitten foster parents during the event.

The event will be held in Uptown Oakland, at the Great Wall of Oakland on West Grand Avenue, and tickets start at $5.

More information is available at the festival's website.
