Castro Valley High Graduate Becomes 1 Of 10 Finalists In Doritos Super Bowl Commercial Contest For $1M

CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) -- A Castro Valley High graduate is one of ten finalists in a Doritos contest to win $1-million, and have his commercial shown during the Super Bowl.

Director Ryan Turner, who now lives in L.A. spent $350 filming the commercial in a friend's backyard with producer Ryan Braun, the IndyStar reported.

Turner was one of nearly 5,000 contestants, put into the top ten with the help of online voters.

The thirty second spot "Baby's First Word" where an eager parent teaches his baby to say "Doritos" during a backyard barbecue.

Online voting for the contest ends January 28th.
