Car Flips In Southbound 101 Accident In Sausalito
SAUSALITO (CBS SF) -- A crash on southbound Highway 101 at the entrance of the Robin Williams Tunnel in Sausalito snarled traffic late Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. when an SUV went out of control, flipping to land in a precarious position leaned against the exterior wall outside the tunnel. Emergency crews had to block the left lanes as they tended to the accident.
South Marin Fire tweeted a photo and video that showed the car being pulled back onto all four wheels.
There was no word whether there were any injuries in the accident or if any other vehicles were involved. According to a tweet by 511.org, the accident was cleared about an hour later.
