Caltrain Strikes 2 Unoccupied Vehicles In Burlingame

BURLINGAME (CBS SF) – A northbound passenger train struck two unoccupied vehicles on the tracks at Broadway Avenue in Burlingame Friday evening, according to Caltrain officials.

Caltrain reported the collision on Twitter shortly after 5:30 p.m.

The tracks have been cleared of debris and trains are starting to move slowly through the area on a single track, at speeds of only 10 mph, Caltrain officials said around 6:30 p.m.

The train involved in the collision, .371, was carrying 900 passengers and 48 bikes, officials said.
