Burglary Suspect Arrested After San Jose Standoff

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - A burglary suspect has been arrested after being barricaded in South San Jose Monday afternoon, prompting the brief evacuation of some nearby residents, a police spokeswoman said.

The suspect was arrested shortly after 1 p.m. near Senter Road and Balfour Drive near the Los Lagos Golf Course, police spokeswoman Sgt. Heather Randol reported on Twitter.

Police reported the suspect was barricaded there and that people were being evacuated at about 12:15 p.m.

No other information about the incident was immediately available from police.
