Brutal Bernal Heights Street Robbery Caught On Surveillance Camera

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man walking home from work in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood was brutally attacked, and surveillance footage could help catch the suspect.

The man was attacked on Coleridge Street on March 25th when two men pulled a gun and demanded his belongings.

Homeowner Jarrod Jacobi, whose cameras captured the attack told KPIX 5 that the system was installed just weeks before the incident.

"You never want to see things like that happen, but at least we caught it," he said.

The cameras didn't get a face shot, but there was a high definition profile shot.

"It worked the way it was supposed to work," said Ian Jacobs, who installed the system for the homeowner.
