Brush Fire Contained After Burning 15-Acres Near Pittsburg

PITTSBURG (CBS SF) -- Firefighters have contained a 15-acre brush fire burning in unincorporated Contra Costa County just south of Pittsburg Tuesday evening, a fire dispatcher said.

The blaze was reported near the intersection of Kirker Pass Road and Nortonville-Somersville Road at about 5:30 p.m., a dispatcher said.

The brush fire was contained within about at about 6:30 p.m., fire officials said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
