Caitlyn Jenner Twitter Account Hits 285,000 Followers In An Hour, Surpasses President For Fastest To 1 Million

(CBS SF) - Bruce Jenner has transitioned completely and is revealing her new look and name, Caitlyn Jenner, on the cover of Vanity Fair.

The cover look for Caitlyn Jenner is shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz and features a cover story by Buzz Bissinger, author of the book Friday Night Lights.

The Vanity Fair story covers Jenner's transition to Caitlyn, a topic she herself is now openly tweeting about:

Jenner began tweeting under the name @Caitlyn_Jenner Monday morning and has 285,000 followers within about an hour of her first post.

Last month the president's @potus account shattered the record for fastest to a million followers when it accomplished the feat in 5 hours. By 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jenner's account had 1 million in four hours and three minutes.

As you might expect, the hashtag #CallMeCaitlyn was trending Monday.

Several of the family members and other celebrities had passed along their support for Jenner's new look.
