Broad Daylight Shooting Leaves 2 Men Injured In El Sobrante

EL SOBRANTE (CBS SF) -- A shooting in broad daylight left two men injured in El Sobrante on Monday.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Deputies were dispatched to an address in the 600 block of El Centro Road at 12:47 p.m. on report of a shooting.

On scene they found two men, ages 37 and 19, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a hospital, and one of them was taken by helicopter, according to Lee.

Investigators found a suspect nearby in a residence and interviewed him, but further details were not immediately available.
