Boy Killed When Another Child Accidentally Backs Car Into Birthday Party In Benicia

BENICIA (KPIX 5) -- One child was killed, and another hospitalized after a 12-year-old boy accidentally drove a car into a birthday party Sunday in Benicia, police said.

The collision was reported at 4:45 p.m. outside the center at 187 E. L St., spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Polizziani said.

A 12-year-old boy was inside the car when it lurched backwards, striking the two others, Polizziani said.

The 4-year-old died at a hospital. The other two boys were also taken to a hospital.
