Oakland Coliseum Station Reopens After Bomb Threat Creates Major BART Delays

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - The Oakland Coliseum BART station has reopened Friday morning following a closure due to a bomb threat.

Trains were temporarily rerouted at the Fruitvale and San Leandro stations, but are now running on all lines, according to BART spokesman Jim Allison. Delays were expected to continue following the reopening.

The station was closed at about 7:40 a.m. after a person heard a thread and dialed 911. Major delays are reported on the Fremont-Daly City, Fremont-Richmond and Dublin-Pleasanton lines, but some delays were experienced on all lines.

Around 8:15, bomb sniffing dogs were brought in to sweep the station.
