Suspicious Device Found At San Ramon Shopping Center Not A Threat
SAN RAMON (CBS SF) -- Bomb squad personnel determined a suspicious device that prompted the evacuation of a shopping center in San Ramon was not a threat late Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police received a call at 8 a.m. regarding a suspicious device in the area of 3110 Crow Canyon Place. Officers arrived at the location at 8:04 a.m. and evacuated people from the area, according to San Ramon police Capt. Denton Carlson.
The device was described as a pressure cooker with exposed wires. At this point, we are unsure if this is an explosive device but, out of an abundance of caution and to ensure public safety, we have requested the assistance of the @walnutcreekpd Bomb Squad.

Police said on social media that the device was described to them as a "pressure cooker with exposed wires."
The Walnut Creek police dbomb squad was called to the scene to assess the device, San Ramon police wrote on Twitter around 10 a.m.

By about 11:30 a.m., the device was deemed safe. Streets were reopened and workers in nearby businesses that had been evacuated were able to return to their jobs.
The Bomb Squad Technicians have deemed the device safe, and it is not a threat to public safety. If you were evacuated earlier, it is now safe for you to return. Thank you @walnutcreekpd for your assistance this morning!
