Man's Body Found In Water At Alameda's Crown Memorial State Beach

ALAMEDA (CBS SF) -- A man's body was found in the water early Sunday morning at the Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda, according to the East Bay Regional Park District.

The grisly discovery was reported around 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning near the 2000 block of Shoreline Drive and emergency crews pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Information about the victim's identity was not immediately available.

The death is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department's investigations unit at (510) 881-1833. Confidential tips can be called in at (510) 690-6521.
