Body Found On Mount Tam Near Where Missing Hiker Last Seen

MILL VALLEY (CBS SF) -- A body was found on the slopes of Mount Tamalpais Saturday morning, near where a missing Menlo Park woman was last seen in March.

Authorities told KPIX 5 that it would be some time before they could determine whether the body was that of the missing woman, Magdalena Glinkowski, whose disappearance came to the attention of California State Park rangers in early April, when they noticed a car rented in her name was left abandoned in a parking lot near the Pantoll Campground on Mount Tamalpais.

A search and rescue team including 80 volunteer searchers and eight search dogs conducted a large-scale ground and air search for Glinkowski on April 5.
