Body Found In Creek Near Oakland Recreation Center
It was found just outside Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center on the 7700 block of Krause Ave.
Police did not immediately say if the body was a man or woman, or if there was any trauma.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene, but at this time it is being handled as a suspicious circumstance death.
Authorities later confirmed that the body found was female.
The park, one of the largest in Oakland, aside from the rec center has an amphitheater, baseball field, soccer field and picnic areas.
