Coroner Confirms Body Found At Angel Island Is San Francisco Man Who Went Missing

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The Marin County coroner's office has confirmed that a body found Tuesday in Ayala Cove at Angel Island is that of Wouter Van Lier, a San
Francisco man who went missing a day earlier.

Van Lier, 42, was last seen by his wife aboard the couple's boat around 1 a.m. Monday. His body was found in 12 feet of water near the boat around 11 a.m. today and it was identified around 2:45 p.m., Tiburon police spokeswoman Laurie Nilsen said.

"No foul play is suspected. It appears to be a tragic accident," Nilsen said.

The coroner's office will officially determine the cause of death.
