Body Found After San Francisco Trader, 24, Goes Missing In London

LONDON (CBS SF) -- Investigators found a body on train tracks near where a Bay Area trader went missing one week ago after arriving in London for a job interview.

Josh Sanchez-Maldonado, 24, of San Francisco was last seen leaving his hotel in the Feltham area of West London shortly after midnight on Oct. 22.

He arrived on a flight from Japan to London a day earlier and was due to fly home to San Francisco the next day, but he never made that flight.

Police looking into his disappearance found a body on train tracks Thursday.

Investigators have not publicly identified the victim, but the family of Sanchez-Maldonado has been informed it may be him.

"The whole family is highly concerned for his well-being," his family said in a statement to London's Metropolitan Police earlier this week. "We really wish he contacts us as soon as possible. Josh please contact us, your parents, your brother or sister through email, text, phone call or by any other means."

His father said they spoke daily since he started his travels, including the day before his disappearance.
