Bird Strike Forces CALSTAR Helicopter To Land In Vacaville Parking Lot

VACAVILLE (CBS SF) -- A helicopter pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in a parking lot in Vacaville after a bird strike Thursday evening.

The CALSTAR helicopter made the landing in a parking lot around 8 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot in the area of Peabody Road and Alamo Drive in Vacaville after the bird strike, according to Vacaville police.

The FAA issued a statement saying there were four people on board when the helicopter made the landing.  The helicopter was en route from Vacaville to San Francisco.

No one was injured in the landing.
