Big-Rig, Multiple Vehicle Crash In Petaluma Closes 101 Lanes

PETALUMA (CBS SF) -- A six-vehicle collision that included a big-rig hauling cars shut down all lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Petaluma Tuesday
afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Jon Sloat said there were major injuries in the 11:50 a.m. crash on northbound Highway 101 south of Petaluma Boulevard North that also backed up traffic on southbound Highway 101 in the area.

The No. 2 lane of northbound Highway 101 reopened at 1:07 p.m. but all others remained closed Tuesday afternoon, according to the CHP.
