Big Rig Full Of Wine Wrecks On 101 In Santa Rosa; Commute Snarled

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) - A crash involving a big-rig carrying 56,000 pounds of wine snarled traffic on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Rosa Monday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The crash was reported at 7:56 a.m. just north of Highway 12, and involved at least one other vehicle, according to preliminary reports.

It does not appear that any of the wine spilled onto the roadway, but the No. 2 and 3 lanes are expected to be closed until about 9 a.m. as crews work to clear the crash, the CHP officer said.
