Big-Rig Catches Fire On I-580 In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- The California Highway Patrol has canceled a Sig-alert on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Alameda County near the Livermore Valley after a big-rig fire Monday morning.

The fire was initially reported on westbound Highway 580 near Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton around 6 a.m., according to the CHP.

The location was revised to westbound Highway 580 just west of Airway Boulevard in Livermore shortly after 6:30 a.m., the CHP said.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert around 6:10 a.m. and one right lane was blocked to motorists.

The Sig-alert was canceled shortly before 6:45 a.m., according to the CHP.
