Bicyclist Critically Injured After Rolling Through Stop Sign, Colliding With Car In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A bicyclist was critically injured when he allegedly rolled through a stop sign and collided with a car in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood on Sunday night, police said Monday.

The collision was reported at about 9:15 p.m. near Broadway and Laguna Street.

The 51-year-old bicyclist was traveling north on Laguna Street and failed to stop at a stop sign, then hit an SUV driven by a woman who was parking in her garage, according to police.

The bicyclist was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening, police said. The SUV driver was uninjured in the collision.

No other details about the collision were immediately available from police.
