Bicyclist, Car Driver Injured In Accident With Muni In SF's Richmond District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A bicyclist and a car driver are both hurt after an accident involving a Muni bus in San Francisco's Richmond District Monday morning.

The crash was reported around 8:10 a.m. near Eighth Avenue and Balboa Street, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.

A vehicle hit the bicyclist, then hit a 31-Balboa bus, Rose said.

Both the bicyclist and driver were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one was on board the Muni bus at the time of the collision.

Service is being delayed on the 31-Balboa line as a result of the collision. Outbound buses are switching back at Sixth Avenue and inbound buses are switching back at Ninth Avenue, Muni officials said.
