While the Bay Area is home to a number of National Parks, the Muir Woods National Monument is one of the few participating in the free admission program. Muir Woods offers the perfect spot for those looking to unwind after a hectic tax season, and even those owing at the end of the year can look forward to a free respite among the trees. The park is open daily from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M., and admission is free from the 18 through the 24.

Since 2007, Glen Park's Le P'tit Laurent has been serving dinner to locals seven days a week.
