SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - The 1.8 mile light display that has been wowing people along San Francisco's Embarcadero for the last couple of years is about to go dark, but not before providing us with some really spectacular photos of the city's waterfront.

The public art piece, created by Leo Villareal and installed in 2013, is the world's largest LED light sculpture.

Fear not! Thanks to private donations, the instillation is expected back in 2016 with the intention of making the display permanent.
