Equipment Problem Near Bayfair Station Causes Major BART Delay

PITTSBURG (CBS SF) -- A major systemwide delay occurred on BART Friday evening because some switches weren't working properly near Bayfair station, BART officials said.

BART was recovering from the problem as of 8:38 p.m., according to a Twitter message by BART officials.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the problem was related to one Friday morning which closed Bayfair station.
