Bacon Wrapped S'more A Bigger Hit Than Winter Snow In Tahoe

KPIX 5 Morning Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales answers the questions you never get to ask on-air.

The recent winter storms has dumped 19 inches of fresh powder at Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar, and everyone in Tahoe is smiling! Bay Area skiers and boarders are making weekend plans for packing up, hitting the road and dreaming of Spring Like conditions on the slopes. Curious and excited, I sent out an email to Rachel Woods, PR Director at Northstar and I asked her, "what are people talking about?

Are they talking about the 100% Open Terrain?
Are they talking about the Pipe Park?
Are they talking about the 25% savings on advanced purchase lift tickets?
Are they talking about "bikini ski weather"?

Nope, what I learned, is everyone is clamoring and lusting over the BACON-wrapped s'mores. Yep, you read correctly. That's bacon wrapped s'mores" served at 3:30pm in the Northstar Village. And by the sounds of it, there have been ravenous riots to get their hands on the yummy and unusual treat! Think about it…it makes sense! You ski, or you grab your "buttery" to shred snow down the "chute "and you can't help but work up an appetite! A little salt, a little sugar, and a Bacon-Wrapped 'Smore' hits the spot.

I wanted to know more about this "culinary craze" so chef is going to show us how it's done. Checkout the video!

It all looks fun and yummy! Now, if we can only get s'more snow!

OK, give me your thoughts! Thumbs up or thumbs done. Would YOU try a bacon-wrapped s'more"?
