A's Become First Major Team To Offer 'Naturally Sweetened, Zero Calorie' Sodas

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – The Oakland A's say they'll offer a zero calorie soda option at games this year.

The team says four flavors of Zevia - a drink flavored with stevia, a plant-based alternative to artificial sweeteners - will be available at concessions throughout O.co Coliseum.

"We are pleased to be working with Zevia to provide our fans with a natural zero-calorie option," said A's President Mike Crowley said in a press release. "The A's have always been open to a new way of doing things and we are thrilled that Zevia has come on board as a business partner."

Fans can sample Cola, Ginger Root Beer, Ginger Ale and Cream Soda.

The drink makers will also advertise extensively throughout the park sponsor the team's Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
