Arsonist Suspected In String Of San Francisco Castro Neighborhood Fires

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- An arsonist may be on the loose in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood after vehicles were burned early Monday morning.

The first fire broke out just before 4 a.m. in the back of Howard Rosenzweig's truck, which he relies on for his job.

"That was the source of my living; don't have that anymore," Rosenzweig said.

Firefighters stamped out that fire only to be called to a house fire thirty minutes later just three blocks away.

The homeowner, who didn't want to go on camera, had a message for whoever is setting the fires.  "Would you do this to your own mother, own family?  If so, then I feel even more sorry for you," As firefighters battled that house fire, another blaze broke out across the street in a trash can.
