Arrest Of Ross School's Former Principal Shocks Small Town

ROSS (CBS SF) -- The former principal of an exclusive private school in Marin County was released on bail after being arrested Friday when he was allegedly found in a hotel room with an unconscious woman and drugs.

Thomas Woodrow "Woody" Price was released on $75-thousand bail over the weekend.

Price was the principal of the Branson School in Ross.  His arrest has become the talk of the town.

"People seem to be really appalled because this is such a nice place," Novato resident Jan told KPIX 5.

Parents pay about $40-thousand per year so their children can have a first-rate education at Branson.  Former students include winter sports star Jonny Moseley and Chef Julia Child.

A Branson Trustee issued a letter to the community, saying "We are deeply troubled by these developments," and also announced Price's resignation.
