Armed Robber Holds Up Employees At Pleasant Hill Cellphone Store

PLEASANT HILL (KPIX 5) -- An armed robber held up employees at a cellphone store in Pleasant Hill Tuesday night, authorities said.

According to the Pleasant Hill Police Department, a man brandishing a firearm confronted workers at the Verizon Wireless store located at 622 Contra Costa Blvd. around 7:30 p.m.

The suspect stole electronics and cash from the safe before running from the store in a westbound direction. No injuries were reported.

Authorities said there were two people inside the store when the robbery took place.

The store was the target of another armed robbery in November of 2011. In that incident, two men carrying handguns robbed the store clerk and two customers.
