Smart App Lets You Control Your Volvo Like James Bond... Almost

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Remember the scene in Tomorrow Never Dies when James Bond uses the touchpad on his phone to make his car do donuts at the airport?

Pretty impressive.

Well, Volvo and Apple have teamed up to create an smart app that gives your Apple Watch, iPad, Android Wear or Windows Phone almost 007-like control.

The updated version of the Volvo On Call app won't actually drive the car, but it will start the heater, adjust the seats, check the fuel, lock or unlock it, and locate it in a crowded parking lot. It will also send map destinations to the car's navigation system.

The Volvo on Call update will be available by the end of June.
