Antioch Store Sells Winning PowerBall Ticket Worth $1.4 Million

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A winning Powerball ticket worth $1.4 million was sold in Antioch, California State Lottery officials announced Sunday.

The ticket worth $1,430,588 matched five of six numbers in Saturday's Powerball drawing, lottery officials said.

The ticket matched the numbers 5, 11, 16, 26 and 50 but missed the Powerball number of 34.

Buchanan Smoke Shop & More at 2329 Buchanan Road sold the lucky ticket and will receive a bonus of $7,152, which is half of 1 percent of the winning amount, lottery officials said.

To claim the prize, the winner is advised to sign the back of the ticket, keep it in a safe place and visit a local California State Lottery district office as soon as they can, according to lottery officials.

No one matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing and the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is now estimated at $317 million, lottery officials said.
