Antioch Police Investigate Shooting Death Of Teen

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- Police in Antioch are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead Wednesday evening.

Officers with the Antioch Police Department responded Wednesday at 9:14 p.m. to the area of Mark Twain Drive and Ebbetts Way on a report of shots heard in the area.

While officers were responding, a report came in a person had been shot on a nearby trail.

Officers located a 17-year-old from Antioch suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he died.

Police are investigating the homicide.
