Anti-Trump Protesters Facing Charges After East Bay Demonstrations
Many more cases are under review by the Alameda County District Attorney.
Eight people are now facing charges, felony or misdemeanor for behavior during anti-Trump protests ranging from vandalism to assault on peace officers and civilians to possession of destructive devices such as molotov cocktails.
"Since November 9th and 10th, we have been reviewing the police reports that are brought to us," Alameda County Assistant District Attorney Teresa Drenick said.
Some of the cases have been sent back to police agencies for further review or information before charges can be filed.
But to those who would come and do damage, Drenick warned charges will be filed, and vandals brought to justice.
"You will be arrested," she said.
