Amazon Begins 'Get It Today' Service In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Starting Thursday, Amazon.com will offer s "Get It Today" online filter in San Francisco for shopping with Same-Day Delivery.
Customers who order before noon can get items such as diapers, toothpaste, detergent and other family needs as well as some electronics, travel needs and select office supplies.
Amazon Prime members can get the items by paying a one-time fee for their entire order. Non-Prime customers will pay by the piece.
"Customers who search or browse the Amazon product selection will find the "Get It Today" filter on the left-hand navigation panel, just below the "Amazon Prime" filter. They can select "Get It Today" and see only those items eligible for Same-Day Delivery. A similar "Get It by Tomorrow" filter will allow customers to discover millions of items that can be delivered the next day," says a press release on behalf of the company.
Items will be delivered by 9 p.m. Similar service is now available in other cities including Phoenix, Dallas and Seattle.
