All Lanes Blocked On WB Hwy 80 After Overturned Truck Accident In Vallejo

VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- An overturned semi-truck is blocking three lanes on westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The injury accident was first reported at 3:10 a.m. near the Hunter Hill safety rest area off ramp, CHP officials said.

The overturned truck and emergency crews had all lanes blocked at 3:26 a.m., with CHP advising motorists to use the westbound state Highway 37 to bypass the incident.

As of 6:32 a.m., traffic was backed up as far back as Jameson Canyon, causing CHP to advise motorists to use either Interstate Highway 680 or American Canyon as alternate routes.

Around 6:17 a.m. CHP officials estimated that the roadway would reopen around 7 a.m. this morning.
