All-Electric Supercar Developed In Silicon Valley On Display At Gumball3000 Rally In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- An all-electric supercar developed in Silicon Valley was on display at the Gumball3000 rally event in San Francisco Wednesday.

The Renovo Motors Coupe features a design based on the iconic Shelby Daytona Coupe from the 1960's.  The Renovo team worked with Shelby American to develop the body and chassis.

The Coupe's stats are staggering, with 1,000 ft-lbs of torque, and over 500 horsepower on tap, 0-60 mph comes in just 3.4 seconds.

The all-electric sports car only has a range of about 100-miles, but is capable of charging fully in just thirty minutes.

The coupe's technology may eventually trickle down into cars for the masses, but for now prices start around half a million dollars.
